Snow Day!
Our first big winter storm of the season started yesterday. Here you can see some of the snow already on the ground.
There was a terrific wind that came up later in the day which made my commute home about 20 minutes longer than usual.
All the schools between here and Syracuse were closed today, and a travel advisory is in effect- meaning no unnecessary travel! So, being the good citizen that I am, I was prepared to work from home today so that I can stay off the roads.
These photos were taken with our Christmas present to ourselves, a sub-compact Sony Cybershot camera about the size of a cell phone. For those of you who care about such things, this camera has an ISO of 3200 - which of course delights Tom to no end! (For those of you who aren't camera buffs- like me, the greater ISO number means that you can take great photos with not much light. I think.) Anyway, we are looking forward to putting this little gem to good use in Europe.

Very exciting - I was wondering if it was snowing up there. We may even see an inch or two here tomorrow!! Maybe they'll shut down the city - that would be pure joy.
I don't know what you are talking about when you write about the new camera (my brain shuts off when I see technical things and numbers), but it sounds super cool!
See you soon!
