Coincidence or conspiracy?

Yesterday afternoon Tom called me to say that one of our tenants had reported that they had no heat. I was not amused, because this is something that requires a service call from our friendly Hunt the Plumber, and we have seen him much too frequently already this fall. I recall that I made a few comments about this situation, mostly to the effect that we never seem to have such problems with our own furnace.

Wrong thing to say! Hunt the Plumber is now on his way to our house- because we woke up this morning to no heat, and an unresponsive furnace. Thank heavens we have our little gas stove to heat the downstairs and electric heat in the office, as I am working from home today!
