Nuremberg Christmas market

We are always ready for a road trip - so we were happy to join Laura and her parents for a trip to Germany.
Although we love the Prague Christmas markets, I must say the city of Nuremberg does it up right. This is definitely the best market we have seen.
This angel is the city-wide symbol of the market.
There are lots of beautiful lights.....
Fun....(those mugs in our hands aren't for tea!)
Hot mulled wine is the drink of choice here!
And lots and lots of beautiful things to buy!

We made a foray into a candy store - that flat-looking stuff is stacks of various flavors of chocolate "bark".
More candy.....
"This way, Dad!"
Beautiful baubles...
And more.....
Oh, and did I mention the food? Famous Neuremberg sausages were available on every corner.
Need a lot of ketchup in a hurry? Just use that contraption in the front right corner!
Something amused us.....
Horse and carriage tours were available, and unlike Prague, these carriages were enclosed!
For those who don't like hot wine, these folks were providing the devil's drink - hot, spiced rum.

Oh, I so wish I was there with you. What fun. I loved Prague at Christmas but, of course, Syracuse does not have the cute customs and markets....only Carousel Mall .
