Did You Miss Us?
You may wonder why we haven't had any new posts. We have been busy, busy, busy, and doing some road tripping. Unfortunately, we don't have pictures yet- we used a borrowed camera and don't know how to download.
So where have we been? First, at the end of September, I went to a 3-day conference in Cooperstown, NY. Yes-the Baseball Hall of Fame, the Fenimore Cooper Art Museum, the Cardiff Giant, the Ommergang brewery and more. The Capital Steps, a group from Washington DC that does musical parodies of government and current events entertained us one evening. I had the opportunity to lend a hand at a Habitat for Humanity build, and did I mention this was work?
That weekend we had the opportunity to hear Dr. Paul Maier, a well-known Christian author who was speaking on the Cornell campus. We were able to be present at two of his presentations. He is an excellent speaker!
Then after a few days at work, back in the car we went for a trip to Washington, DC, where we spent two nights with Erika & Mike while I attended a conference. Dinner at the Spy Museum was a highlight of this trip, and again did I mention I was working? Krispy Kreme doughnuts and oysters, Mexican feasts and pomegranate martinis made this trip delightful.
We then attended a wedding at St. Peter's in Rome (NY- the priest told us to say that) and came home long enough to pack a few suitcases for a nice long visit to Prague.
More posts when we return!
