Trafalgar Square & The National Gallery

Trafalgar Square is a well-known spot in London. The National Gallery, seen below, is on one side, and the Lord Nelson Column is on the other. There is a huge square with fountains in the center, and this is a favorite meeting site for tourists and Londoners alike. It is normally teeming with people.

These young ladies were having some fun.....

London bobbies....

The corners of the square have large pedestals upon which various monuments have been erected - save one. One has been empty for a long time, and there have been several suggestions as to who should be honored there, ranging from Mother Teresa to Princess Diana.
This year, there is a unique use of the empty plinth, known as One & Other.

People sign up to spend one hour on the plinth, and they can do anything they would like for that hour. Click on the link to see the live webcam and find out who is currently occupying the plinth. As I type this, there is someone in a cow suit!!

We're not sure what this person was supposed to be.....

Our friends, Bruce and Connie.....
