Signs of Spring

Even though we have two inches of new snow on the ground today, the signs of spring are everywhere. The robins and other songbirds are back (don't their feet ever get cold?), large flocks of geese are flying overhead northward bound, the tulips and daffodils are braving the snow and sending forth green shoots, and I actually saw a crocus in bloom!

Another sign of spring at the marina is the dreaded dredger!! Every spring this metal monster roosts on OUR point, from whence it cleans out the channel from the marina to the lake. Tom caught it in action this year.

This is why we plant grass every year! But isn't that view awesome??

What, Me Worry?

No refund? You mean we owe YOU money? You'll just have to wait until we pay the marina bills!!

The Joys of Downsizing

When the company I worked for downsized from 60+ people to two, I felt very fortunate to be one of those two. We kept our 16,000 sq. feet of space for over a year with just the two of us rattling around in it, and when my co-worker recently had a baby- there was just me!

Last weekend we moved into new office space. It is 2,000 sq. feet of brand new space, built out just for us. We have gone from center city Syracuse out to the burbs, where things are happening! We have a great new mall within walking distance, where you can find such amenities as Starbucks, the Cold Stone Creamery, the Great Northern Pizza Kitchen, Chicago Uno Grill, the Bonefish Grill, Panera Bread, and Carrabba's. Yes, we've already tried them all! Moving is hard work, and we got very hungry! Besides, it was necessary to entertain our computer techie, who came all the way from MN (Mall of America country) to set up our computers and phones. Tom was pressed into service too, moving boxes, helping position our desks, and generally being our gofer. Thanks Tom!

We are now settling in nicely to our new space, and we are looking forward to getting to know our new neighbors and the neighborhood!
